‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers document that seeing a recent ex is naturally disturbing. But Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) quickly reaffirmed his belief that his time with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is over.
Seeing Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) with another woman, Nick loved is aggravating. However, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was meeting Morrow’s character at the Genoa City Athletic Club. That helped Nick maintain focus before he allowed himself to make a scene.

As viewers recall, Nick took a long time before giving his heart to Sally. He slow-walked the start of their relationship. Similarly, Adam also pushed her off when she was first pursuing him.
Nick rightly believed that Sally retained feelings for his brother after their hard break. Hope’s character decided that she could not live with the chaos Adam brought to her life and ended their relationship.
Sally’s pregnancy did not cause the couple to reunite; she opted to stay with Nick. However, the miscarriage proved to be a flashpoint that eventually resulted in Sally and Adam realizing they wanted to reunite. So, as Nick thought, he was always her second choice.

Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) has been through the Newman brother wars, arguably like no other woman. But she has not been with either Nick or Adam in recent years.
Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is someone Sharon bonded with after her husband died. Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) was Chance’s mentor on the force. While they were not connected for long, the respect Floyd’s character held for Rey was deep.
The death of Vilasuso’s character made Sharon a widow. Time passed, and the friendship she and Chance shared developed into romance.
The introduction of Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) into the picture was surprising. She has been unable to back off because her feelings for Chance are significant, and Sharon recognizes that potential threat.

It is not a soapy stretch to believe Sally will stay with Adam. That keeps Nick single for the time being.
While Sharon and Chance are nowhere near engaged, they are involved. But Chance is very fond of Summer, and her appeal is strong.
It would also be plausible to see Chance become involved with Summer. Sharon could drop Chance if she can not tolerate that.
In short, natural speculation about the one-time super couple will form if Nick and Sharon are single on Y&R.
