The last time that Abby Newman was in a relationship, she got her heart totally broken by Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela). That’s because he was sleeping with his brother’s wife and before he knew it, ended up getting her pregnant. She also dated handsome doctor Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) but couldn’t trust him. That’s why Abby is being very careful with Chance as she doesn’t want to go down that same road.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Melissa puts it this way, “Chance is different than any guy Abby’s dated before. He has an adventurous life. He’s always out saving the world.”
But with Chance, things might be a little different. That’s because Abby is taking a whole new approach to this relationship. “There could be secrets that he will keep from Abby, and that could lead to problems,” mused the actress. “And heartbreak. I’m hopeful though that Abby’s finally found somebody who can handle her — and her family! I’m excited to see where this relationship goes!”
