‘The Young and the Restless’ spoilers reveal that Clare Grace (Hayley Erin) came to Genoa City and appeared to be a nice person looking for work she could sink her teeth into.
Claire and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) got along well, and Nikki offered Claire a job at Newman Media.
The Young and The Restless Spoilers: Claire Was Not As She Seemed
She seemed genuinely thrilled by the offer and accepted. As Nikki’s assistant, she made herself invaluable. Nikki invited Claire to the wedding of Jack Abbot (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).
Nikki gave her young protégé the rundown on who’s who in town, and everything seemed to be running smoothly.
Claire did share some of her past with Nikki. She explained to her that she was from a small town in Oregon and that her great-aunt raised her after her parents tragically died in a car accident—cue empathy from Nikki.
Claire was pleasant enough and vanilla enough, and she seemed like yet another Y&R character that would bore fans to tears. She was just too lovely and too perfect. Fans are quickly finding out Claire is no angel.
However, she does make Phyllis Summers (played by the fabulous Michelle Stafford) look like the angel of Genoa City.
Claire explained to Nikki that she had a family crisis. Nikki was understanding and told her to take care of her aunt. Claire has also been studying family photos of Nikki with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Hmmm….
The young employee has a revenge plot against Nikki. Claire has kidnapped Mrs. Newman and is keeping her locked up in a room in a remote house in Oregon.
Several theories are at play as to why Claire is so crazy and what she wants with Nikki. After Nikki’s mother, Barbara, died, her father, Nick Reed (Quinn Redeker), came to town.
Y&R Spoilers: Claire May Be Related to Nikki
Nikki’s sister, Casey Reed (Roberta Leighton), remembered that he had raped her. He tried to do the same to Nikki, but she killed him before he had the chance.
Nikki’s abusive father could have had a child who wanted revenge on her for killing him. Maybe this is why she was staring at the family pictures. She may want to ruin Nikki’s family, too.
However, there was another theory that Claire could also be Cameron Kiersten’s (Linden Ashby) daughter, but that would mean she would want revenge against Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), not Nikki. So, that’s not the most plausible theory anymore.
A few more theories could be that she is Nikki’s child from a past indiscretion. Perhaps while driving intoxicated, Nikki could have killed someone important to Claire, or conceivably, Claire is being paid an exorbitant amount of money by a mysterious person holding a grudge.
No, she wants revenge against Nikki. Claire is most likely related to Nikki somehow. They look alike—both attractive blond women and very determined, apparently.
So Claire and Nikki took a trip together, and it turned dangerous when Claire served Nikki drugged tea. Nikki suddenly becomes woozy.
Claire starts to come toward her with a syringe and goes to inject her in the neck. Claire tells Nikki to have “sweet dreams,” and a horrified Nikki asks Claire, “What is happening?”
We don’t think Claire’s cute little revenge plot can stand up to the likes of Nikki and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Stay tuned to see what happens with Claire’s psycho plan against Nikki.
