How Prince Harry and Meghan Markle MISSED Their Chance to Have Power and Respect as Working Associates of the Royal Family

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle missed out on their chance to have power and respect as functional members of the royal family. Since the Duke and Duchess decided to exit stage left from their royal duties in January 2020, nothing has worked out for them.

One glaring omission from the National Service of Remembrance Day will be Prince Harry. He served in the army for ten years and two tours in Afghanistan. Harry cannot pay tribute at the remembrance service because he is no longer a working royal. His participation is not welcome or allowed.

Harry and Meghan Could Have Helped an Aging Monarchy

Harry no longer has the respect of his family, not after his 2021 Oprah interview or his tell-all memoir, “Spare.” He ripped his so-called loved ones to shreds. Since Meghan dragged him away from the palace, The Firm rarely invites him to any official engagements that involve the royal family.

Truthfully, Meghan missed an opportunity to gain power as a working royal. Her presence with the royal family could have boosted their popularity and worked to her advantage.

    Harry-Meghan- Royal Family

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were given the leadership of the late Queen Elizabeth’s Commonwealth Trust after they became husband and wife.

Canadian royal expert Bonnie Brownlee notes that Harry and Meghan squandered their chance to have a leading role within the institution.

The millennials around the Commonwealth could have identified with them and seen them as role models. Brownlee explains that Harry and Meghan “could have brought a great deal of openness, fairness, and change.”

It would have been much more favorable for them to assert their power for good instead of coming to the US to persuade Americans to hate the royal family.

The couple could have also played an instrumental role in helping King Charles strengthen the monarchy and influence the younger generation.

    A Darker Path

Instead, they seemed to have chosen a much darker path. Harry and Meghan ruined their shot at winning over the US.

The Sussexes’ endless tirade against the royals grew tiresome a long time ago, and their projects have all failed miserably, with the notable exception of Harry’s book, “Spare,” which made him a lot of money at the expense of his family.

Harry and Meghan’s popularity has been on a downward spiral since the start of 2023, with Harry garnering slightly more popularity than Meghan.

However, Harry and Meghan jumped the shark way before Harry’s book and their cancellations with Netflix and Spotify.

The minute the couple left the royal family, they lost their chance. Their attacks on the British monarchy have been met with stark disapproval in the US and the UK.

These two only have themselves to blame for being seen as pariahs, especially in the eyes of the British public and the royal family.

Harry and Meghan could have had it all

Harry and Meghan have been shunned by the institution they could have flourished taking part in. Reportedly, they did not receive an invitation to King Charles’s 75th birthday or declined to go. Either way, no one wants the kind of publicity they have to offer.

In the wise words of the super-talented Adele, Harry and Meghan must say to each other every night before bed,

“We could have had it all….”
