‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers indicate that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is going to quickly move on from his Newman experience.
He won’t lick his wounds for too long. Moving on may involve looking to the past and rebuilding broken relationships. Is Nate going to be up for that challenge?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Shocking Event
Nate had no idea that he was headed for the chopping block at Newman Enterprises. Y&R’s Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) determined that he needed to test the loyalty of his children and by extension, Nate Hastings.
When Victor pretended to be experiencing mental challenges, Nate suggested that Victor get evaluated at an institution. Nate expressed his point of view loudly and without really reading the room.
It was not the best move for an “outsider”. When Victor asked who would run the company in his absence, Nate plowed on, suggesting Victoria.
When Victor challenges this, saying that Nate and Victoria hatched this together so Victoria could take over the company again, Nate disagrees. He says this is his idea and that he only wants what is best for Victor.
At that point, Victor fires Nate. Nate seems rather upset with Victoria for not standing up for him, because they are in a relationship. He is upset that she is siding with her family.
But is that really a surprise? Nate was using his relationship with her to get into Newman. It was about position and ambition more than it was the relationship. So, should he really feel slighted at all by her support for her family over Nate?
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Moving Right On
Y&R Spoilers indicate that Victoria will try to talk with Nate to mend things between them. She didn’t know her father was going to destroy her relationship with Nate.
While her father has made this decision, she probably isn’t keen to lose her boyfriend. But Nate is going to move on by looking to the past.
Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) has called him up with the intent to discuss patching up their relationship. Y&Rs Aunt Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) now has partial ownership of Chancellor-Winters and wants her family to all work together again. Devon and Lily may be willing to give Nate a chance there again.
Will Nate even look to the past to reconnect with his old flame, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy)? Would she give him another chance? What do you think? Is Nate’s progression in Y&R going to involve rebuilding the broken bridges he has created?
