Now, the truth is coming out as several women, like Brand’s ex-wife, Katy Perry, are coming forward to talk about their very uncomfortable experiences with a man with a libido the size of Tinseltown.
In addition to the women who revealed that Russell Brand had sexually assaulted them, Brand has impacted several famous women, not in a good way. There are numerous accounts of Brand’s inappropriate behavior.
Russell Brand’s Bad Behavior
A 2013 interview with Katy Perry has recently resurfaced in which Perry describes him as being emotionally abusive, citing his “very controlling” behavior.
She had hinted that she knew something that would potentially damage Brand’s reputation, even back then.
Perry explains about the demise of her marriage,
“I felt a lot of responsibility for it ending, but then I found out the real truth. I kept it locked in my safe for a rainy day.”
Singer Dannii Minogue, the sister of pop sensation Kylie Minogue, dubbed Brand a “vile predator” who “wouldn’t take no for an answer.”
Not wanting to get too specific, Minogue said that Brand made several lewd remarks about her “fabulous breasts.”
A resurfacing video is Brand suggestively bouncing Katharine McPhee on his knee during a 2013 appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”
McPhee tried not to allow her discomfort to show, but it was evident that the “flirtation” was unwelcome.
Upon discovering that McPhee was married, Brand jokingly said,
“You should never destroy a marriage unless you are really bored.”
Fallon was reportedly shocked by his behavior, as Brand had grabbed McPhee, bounced her on his knee, and the host just put his hand over his face as if he wanted to unsee it.
Supermodel Kate Moss reportedly strongly dislikes Brand after he claimed to have slept with her in 2006. Even Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell) called him “too intense.”
Russell Brand is Put on Notice
When Russell Brand played in the 2008 Judd Apatow film, “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” with pretty actresses Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis, Kristen issued Brand with a stern warning, letting him know that if he tried anything, she’d kick him in the b-s.
Bell knew of his lascivious reputation, and she was not having it. Bell had revealed this in an interview, and after talking about it, she said,
“ Russell loves everyone to know that he’s a womanizer and has done all these strange things, but I think hiding inside Russell is a very nice boy.”
Of course, this remark was probably because of the archaic belief that women should not come forward and tell the truth about a man who is harassing them.
It’s the whole “boys will be boys” mentality that these brave women are going against.
The man appears to have no boundaries regarding women and has often referred to having a “sex addiction.”
Brand has vehemently denied these accusations as baseless and false. However, looking at Brand’s troubled history should be a clue that something isn’t right.
