Corey Feldman has applied for legal separation in order to make his divorce from Courtney official in the eyes of the law.
The “Goonies” star is applying for formal separation from Courtney, but he is not yet pursuing a divorce, according to fresh legal documents.
Following six years and five months of marriage, they have been separated since June 22, according to Corey, who is citing the standard irreconcilable differences as the cause of the breakup.
Because they never had any children together, Corey claims he wants to prevent the court from granting Courtney spousal support. As a result, there are no child support difficulties.
Corey earlier declared in August that he was divorcing Courtney, citing some of her persistent medical conditions, such as chronic exhaustion, while reiterating his love for her.

It’s a bit of a strange separation and doesn’t paint Feldman in a great light. He states that he will continue to love her, while citing her medical issues as a reason for the separation. If there was truly love between them, he would surely stay with her, right? Instead, he cites “irreconcilable differences” which just doesn’t seem honest.
Surely, there is something else happening behind the scenes, or Feldman is just tired of having to care for her and live around her medical conditions. Perhaps there will be a moment in the future where they reconnect as we see so often in the industry, but for now, it looks like he is ready to part ways.
Four years after they first connected at a party at the Playboy Mansion, the actor wed Courtney in November 2016 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
