Danelo Cavalcante, an escaped prisoner from Pennsylvania, was apprehended after a gigantic, insane two-week manhunt that terrified the whole state and made everyone wonder if it was safe anymore with escaped convicts out on the run.

A convicted killer named Cavalcante was apprehended without incident on Wednesday by SWAT and Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC) teams in the same small rural hamlet where he had earlier broken into a house and taken a rifle after being fired at by the homeowner.

Despite the fact that footage did not reveal his health after 14 days on the run, he looked to be awake and aware when being held. When Danelo was finally apprehended, a sizable contingent of the cops who were involved gathered around him to take pictures with him.

The video also showed handcuffed Cavalcante being led into the rear of a black armored vehicle by military-clad cops. With its red lights flashing, the truck then drove off down the street.

The good news was discovered as a fugitive task squad combed Pennsylvania seeking for Cavalcante. Despite several sightings, Cavalcante evaded capture up to this point.

On August 31, Cavalcante escaped from Chester County Prison by climbing a wall in the recreation yard. He escaped the location by scaling razor wire, running across a roof, and jumping to the ground below.

This was a very scary moment for the people of Pennsylvania and we’re glad that they were able to finally apprehend Cavalcante. Hopefully something like this will not happen again in the near future and the people can feel safe without escaped convicts out running around.
