'Days of Our Lives' Spoilers: Why the Time Jump Was Just the Spark That DOOL Needed!

‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers finds that the results are in, looks like the soaps time jump has been a success! For awhile now, the daytime sudser has been falling in ratings. Things were touch and go for while and we didn’t actually know if the soap was getting renewed or not, but fortunately, fate smiled upon us and our wishes were granted! But the Days staff did not take this wake-up call for granted. Rather, they ramped up the efforts with a rather risky move – a time jump, something that has never been done before in the history of daytime TV, and boy howdy did it work!

With this expert plot device, they managed to move up to the number two spot in the women’s 18-49 daytime viewing demographic, just behind the Young and the Restless! And the time jump isn’t the only thing they switched up either, there’s been quite a few shifts in dynamics on the show. For one, we’ve lost people, Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) for one, and now two of the “good guy” characters, Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) are doing hard time for what looks like crimes they didn’t commit. There is also the fact that Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk) and Lani Price (Sal Stowers) are practically BFF now, they weren’t even in each other’s orbits before. And let’s not forget the return of Stefano DiMera through a computer chip in Steve Johnson, AKA Patch’s (Steven Nichols) brain!

‘The Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers:  Time jump was a resounding success!

So far the storylines have been phenomenal and all the mystery and speculation surrounding the characters lives are just masterfully done. It’s something that the show has needed for a long time and we personally can’t wait to see how all of these storylines play out and if we even end up with the same cast as before. I mean, Ben’s on death row and someone’s got to save him… or will it just end up as another “Dead Man Walking”?

We don’t know yet! We don’t know if Will actually killed Adrienne or if he has simply accepted responsibility for a tragic accident. And what about those new romance angles, will Sonny and Evan be a thing now or will true love prevail once new evidence is presented? Who actually killed Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Hartley), and what about the whole Baby Mickey storyline? Is this the end for Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker), we don’t know yet!!! But we can’t wait. Stay tuned!!!
