‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are ready to keep things moving, and there’s a couple of interesting points in this episode that should make things fun in the coming weeks.

Of course, the developments aren’t really surprising given how the storylines have been going, but they’ll still make this a fun character building episode.

Let’s get to it and dig into some spoilers!

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For August 23: To the future

With their pain still fresh and plenty of frustration to go around, Nick Newman and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will find comfort in each other before their talk turns to the future and their plans.

Sally’s pain from losing her baby is still fresh, but Nick will remain supportive of her and tell her she’ll be a great mom and that’ll get them talking about having children of their own some day.

There’s no rush on it given their current circumstances, but it’ll be something they’ll look forward to down the road as they begin their own family.

This will be a feel good moment of the episode as we’re in for a couple of issues.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For August 23: The end of things

The thing that’ll spur Nick to talk about having children is learning that Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will decide on getting divorced.

He won’t like it and try to talk Kyle out of it, but Kyle will point out it’s Summer’s idea and they need to move on with their lives.

It’ll be a tough scene and it’ll be apparent that Kyle and Summer still love each other, but her betrayal is something he may never be able to get over and that’ll doom any relationship.

At least it’ll be amicable and they’ll try to keep things as civil as possible.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For August 23: Parental concern

It was bound to happen and ‘Young and the Restless’ are surprised it took this long, but Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will become concerned when their daughter isn’t scared by thunder.

    No photo description available.

Despite Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) telling them it’s probably nothing serious, she’ll still set up a doctor’s appointment to have Aria’s hearing checked.

While concerns like this are normal for a family, we’re hoping they’re going to forego the health concerns for Aria and just have her being a sound sleeper.

What’s got our attention is after all of this time Mariah and Tessa seem unsure on whether their daughter should be afraid or not. Maybe Aria’s woken up before and that’s why they’re worried this time.

Will Kyle and Summer be able to keep things as peaceful as possible throughout their divorce? Let us know below and check back with ‘Young and the Restless’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
