‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveals that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) may finally decide to take a chill pill. She has been waging a very vocal and hostile war against her brother, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). But maybe the importance of her relationship with her daughter Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will be enough to help her turn it down.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Vicious Vitriol
Ashley has been a hot angry mess ever since her brother decided to forgive and forget with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Jack fell in love with Diane and invited her to live in the Abbott mansion. He then asked Diane to marry him, and he gave her an important position at Jabot. Diane is now the Chief Talent Officer.
Based on that happened in the past, Ashley believes this is insanity. She believes that Diane is going to hurt her brother and ruin Jabot, their family company. She wants Diane out of their lives but has not been able to help that be realized yet. Every interaction has been vicious and full of vitriol as Ashley attacks.
Nothing that she had done has been able to sway Jack and change his mind. He was so determined that he went ahead and married Diane.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Will Her Daughter Help?
Ashley even got into a relationship with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) just to irritate her brother. She thought it would act as a mirror so he could see that his relationship with Diane is just as bad. However, that did not work. She tried to stage a coup to remove Jack from power but did not have enough board support.
Her latest plan has been to leave Jabot and start her own company with Tucker McCall. It would leave Jabot on precarious ground because she could legally take her patents and her products. This may still be in the works, but she has also talked about just letting Diane prove her danger to Jabot on her own.
At any rate, this vicious anger toward Diane and by extension Jack, is bothering Ashley’s daughter Abby. She has seen that Ashley isn’t really marrying Tucker because she loves him but is doing it as a weapon against Jack and Jabot.
She thinks this is really wrong and is angry at her mother. Will this make Ashley think about what she is doing? Will she do what she needs to do to make things right with Abby, even it it means to give up the war? What do you think?
