A Texas grand jury is considering whether to charge Travis Scott with a crime in connection with the tragic events at Astroworld.
According to the rapper’s attorney, Kent Schaffer, the Harris County Grand Jury is currently deliberating whether to charge his client for continuing to play at the 2021 event while the audience stampeded, killing 10 people and injuring countless others.
Rapper Travis won’t be testifying, according to his lawyer, and his team is still optimistic that the jury will find him not guilty. Travis has insisted from the start that he was unaware of the rush, and he cites the fact that several police officials in the audience who were in charge of the fans’ safety were also illiterate.
In fact, you can see several police officers dancing when Travis sings in the footage. Travis and the festival’s organizers were named in many legal lawsuits following the fatal event, although no charges have ever been brought against him.
