‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveals that Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) is overwhelmed by the news that his mother, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) his still alive. He is not sure how he can proceed with this knowledge.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) View
Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) is the one who shared this information with her brother. She told him just because she needed someone to vent to. Summer wasn’t supposed to share it with anyone.
She wants her brother’s help to try to make some plans for their mother. Phyllis can’t come back into the public eye until they have a good plan. If she shows up now, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will be freed, but Phyllis would go to jail.
Phyllis could face charges for faking her death and framing Diane, but also for killing Jeremy Stark (James Hyde). He attacked her and she killed him in self-defense, but then she dumped the body. There is no way to prove that story.
Summer believes that no one can find out about Phyllis until they figure it out. She believes Diane deserves everything she is experiencing. Summer doesn’t have any empathy for her and is prioritizing her mother.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Daniel’s Struggle
Daniel is shocked and stunned to learn the news. He can’t really believe it at first and takes some convincing. When he finally puts the pieces together that prove Summer is being truthful, he is surprised that she has not gone to the authorities.
Daniel does not believe that two wrongs make a right. He thinks that they need to tell the police because the truth is the only thing that will help everyone who is involved.
Daniel can’t believe that Summer would let her husband Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) suffer on purpose while his mother languishes in jail. Summer can’t agree and demands that he keep it quiet. Daniel can’t promise that which is really stressful to Summer.
