A staff member of the “Tonight Show” questions Jimmy Fallon‘s assertion that he couldn’t do a late-night program without his writers and that he supports them in their strike, saying Jimmy is just talking.

As the writers’ strike got underway, Jimmy’s talk show’s senior photo research coordinator, Sarah Kobos, criticized him on social media, writing, “He wasn’t even at the meeting this morning to tell us we won’t get paid after this week.”

In her tweet, Sarah included Jimmy’s handle and said, “@jimmyfallon please support your staff. Had fun bowling with ya last week, but a fun party won’t pay my rent.”

Last night a lot of A-list celebs were asked if they support the writers' strike.

Jimmy Fallon said, "I wouldn't have a show if it wasn't for my writers, I support them all the way."

Since all of the network talk shows are shutting down due to the writer’s strike, which will affect all employees—including those who aren’t writers—Jimmy is scrambling to figure out how to handle personnel matters. When questioned about the strike on Monday at the Met Gala, Jimmy responded to Variety by saying, “I wouldn’t have a show if it wasn’t for my writers, I support them all the way.”

Sarah claims in subsequent tweets that although she is not a striker since she is not a member of the Writers Guild of America, her livelihood would still be negatively impacted by all the shows showing reruns.

She continued to say, “NBC decided to stop paying us after this week and end our health insurance after this month if the strike is ongoing. They won’t even tell us if we will technically be furloughed. Just active employees who aren’t paid.

Fair or not, Sarah also directly likened Jimmy to Seth Meyers, host of NBC’s “Late Night,” adding that she had heard Seth remark in a Zoom conference that he would strive to provide for his employees and crew “after NBC stops paying.”
