It has been a busy 12 months in Emmerdale with an awful lot occurring over the past year. But, things could be set to get heated this Christmas as there a host of surprises on the horizon for a lot of the main characters in the soap. There are surprise revelations and a cunning revenge plan that appear to be taking centre stage.
There has already been one announced departure of the festive period, and that story line could engage fans for the next number of months. Meanwhile, there are also set to be emotional scenes as Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) could be set for a heartbreaking exit.
Emmerdale Spoilers: Graham To Challenge Kim
The biggest storyline around the Christmas period will centre around Graham Fosters (Andrew Scarborough) relentless challenge to get even with Kim Tate (Claire King). The two have been at loggerheads for the past number of months now, as Kim refuses to let Graham move on with his new partner.
In retaliation, Graham heard rumours that Millie is actually his. He has secretly had a DNA test done despite Kim feeling that she had done enough to get away with it. He will go around to their house on Christmas morning with a revelation that will leave everybody shook. James Tate (Alexander Lincoln) will learn about how his wife and mother have deceived him, and there will be a devastating exit for Graham.
The scenes of his departure are due to air around New Year with a ‘who done it’ storyline likely to keep fans engaged. Graham will have his sights set on leaving before his exit plans are brought to a screeching halt by somebody.
Emmerdale Spoilers: Maya’s Baby Lands On Jacobs Doorstep
One of the more intriguing storylines this year was the grooming of Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) by Maya Stepney (Louise Clein). He is only now getting back to a normal life, but he will be rocked over the festive period when a baby is dropped off on his doorstep by Maya.
It could still be his step father’s David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden), but viewers will have to wait and see how this story plays out. All members of the family are rocked by the revelation that Maya has given birth, but there is no way of tracking her down to ask the questions since she is in hiding. The father and son will have to wait until the tests have returned before knowing for certain who the baby belongs to.
