‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott) and Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott) were nominated for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actor for the Daytime Emmys!
The two have been an integral part of the show for years, and we look forward to hopefully seeing one of them take home the award.
They are up against some pretty stiff competition though as they will come face to face with Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester) of ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ as well as Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) of ‘General Hospital’.
The last lead actor spot was earned by Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera) of ‘Days of our Lives’, so there are plenty of worthy stars out there that may get the award!
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott) & Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott) Nominated For Daytime Emmy Award!
Though, let’s be honest, we’re all rooting for Peter Bergman, right? While we all think that Jason is great, he hasn’t really done much as Billy recently other than help talk Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) down and beginning an odd relationship with her.
Jack definitely as a lot more going on and has had Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) return, fight for her spot back with her family and now has to deal with a false accusation due to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) faking her death.
Bergman has been doing a fantastic job (as usual) and we will be cheering him on at the awards ceremony to bring home the Emmy! While there were a ton of great actors nominated, we have to wonder if there was anyone else that should have been nominated from any of the other shows.
Perhaps Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) of ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ for his incredible storyline lying to and catching Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown)!
