‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers suggests that things are looking critical for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) marriage. This is substantiated by Noah Newman (Rory Gibson).
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Tension Increases
Things are becoming more strained between Kyle and Summer. Kyle knows that his mother, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walter) would not be able to kill Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
He maintains her innocence and wants to fight for her. He believes that Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) is at fault. Kyle wants to find the evidence to exonerate his mom and take down Stark.
Summer believes that no one but Diane is truly responsible. Phyllis said she was scared of Diane. Phyllis complained to Summer about Diane and Summer didn’t listen.
She blames herself for that now that Phyllis is gone. She won’t entertain the possibility that Stark is at fault. Because of that, Kyle and Summer are at an impasse and only infuriate each other with their conversation.
Kyle is trying to be understanding of Summer’s grief because she lost her mother, but now his mother is behind bars. He wants to do whatever her can to help her because he believes she is innocent.
This rift between Kyle and Summer seems insurmountable. Kyle says that right now he has lost the two women he loves most in the world–his wife and his mother.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Noah Weighs In
Noah has just returned to Genoa City. He comforts his sister and listens to her grieve. When Summer leaves Crimson Lights and Kyle shows up looking for her, Noah gives Kyle some difficult news.
He says that even if Stark is found to be the one who killed Phyllis, Summer is never going to forgive Diane. She is always going to hold Diane responsible for this.
This is tough news for Kyle to hear. Their marriage is headed for disaster unless Phyllis returns soon, and Summer gets her mother back. That will be the only way that Kyle and Summer will be able to meet in the middle and move on. At this point, things are looking pretty bleak.
