‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers suggests that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) has her eyes set on Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) as the person responsible for Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) ‘death’.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Different Focus
When Summer meets her brother, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei), they compare notes and share their grief. They are both undone and feel that they treated their mother unfairly. They both thought that they had more time to make amends and try to get their relationships on track.
The loss has been a blow because there is no going back. They can’t fix anything now. so they have to focus on what do with their pain. Summer has been planning the memorial service as a way to channel her grief into something. Daniel sketched a picture of his mother and Summer wants to use it on the memorial program.
Daniel has been focused on Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) as the cause of his mother’s demise. Things aren’t adding up and he believes that Stark is at the heart of the matter. Summer, for her part, places the blame with someone else.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Case Against Diane
Summer thinks that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is to blame. She shares the interaction that she saw during the party with her brother. He did not know that Phyllis and Diane fought, and that Diane threatened Phyllis. This is new information for him which might cause him to see the events in a different light.
She also shares that their mother was scared of Diane and Summer did not believe her. While they have not heard this yet, this will be supported by the voice mail message Phyllis left for Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc). Phyllis did all she could to place the blame at Diane’s feet.
Summer and Daniel are both devastated at their mother’s ‘death’ but they are also eager to see that justice is served. They want to hold the person accountable. While Daniel has suspected Stark all along, he is beginning to think about it differently since talking with Summer.
