‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that the next generation of the show is here already, and we’re watching Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) age right before our eyes. We have to come to the realization that they will not be on the show forever.
Sure, there are plenty of other characters like Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), but are they going to be enough to carry the show or will it slowly fizzle out without the stars who made it?
‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: The Future – Will You Continue To Watch When There Is No Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) Or Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)?
I don’t think the next generation of characters is going to keep us entertained though. They make for good drama and storylines on the side while the larger-than-life characters duke it out in insane dramatic fashion.
The show just celebrated 50 years, and whether or not it will be able to continue on for another 50 years, I’m not sure.
As much as fans of the show love it, will they really stick
around for a whiney Kyle Abbott or a Nick Newman who doesn’t want anything to do with Newman Enterprises?
I guess there is always Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) there to stir the pot, though at the moment she appears to have been killed. But I think we all know that this is just a ploy, right?
As sad as it is, I don’t think that most viewers will stick around after Victor, Jack, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and some of the other keystones of the show leave. What’s your opinion and will you continue to watch even after they are gone?
What do you think? Will the show be able to carry on after the titans have left? How long do you think the next generation could do the show for and will there be a day when we see a grown-up Harrison running Jabot talking about his grandfather Jack Abbott? Let us know in the comments below.
