CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) Tries to Influence Sally
Summer is not very happy with her father Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) relationship with Sally. To her, Sally is a train wreck of a person who brings chaos wherever she goes. She doesn’t believe that her father should be with someone like Sally.
Her father is good and noble, and she thinks he deserves someone better. When she learns that Sally is pregnant, and pregnant with Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) baby, she feels that even more.
She believes that Sally is just using her father to protect her from Adam. Summer thinks that really, Sally and Adam belong together. She thinks this even more now that they are having a baby.
When Nick tells her to be kind to Sally, she apologizes but then she tries to plant the seed of doubt in Sally’s mind. She says that she still sees Adam and Sally to be the best match in her mind.
Because of this influence, Sally begins to have dreams that bother her. She dreams about Adam trying to come back into her life. The dreams push her to consider being with Adam again, but this is not what she wants.

Nick ends up waking Sally from her dream of Adam. While that might be embarrassing or something that she wants to hide if she is having feelings for him, Sally doesn’t shy away from it. She is honest with Nick and tells him her struggle.
She tells him about Summer and how that has gotten into her head. When he asks her how she really feels about Adam, she is honest and truthful. Sally is committed to Nick and her relationship with him. This is proven by the fact that she doesn’t hide anything. She shows herself to be more admirable than Summer.
Sally does admit to Nick that she is terrified about what will happen as his family hears this news and tries to influence the outcome. Summer has already started. What will Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) do when he finds out?
