Recently at work, Nate and Victoria have been spending more time together. They are trying to talk through the acquisition of McCall Unlimited and how to merge that into Newman Enterprises.
While they are both ambitious and power hungry, they have also experienced some powerful physical attraction to one another. Twice they have shared a passionate kiss. Nate has tried to set some boundaries because he really does value his relationship with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). He doesn’t want to put that in jeopardy.
While other people like Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) have sensed chemistry between the couple, Nate asserts nothing is going on. If that is the case, he needs to do a better job convincing other people and himself. He also needs to set clear boundaries.

Victoria doesn’t see a problem with having some excitement with Nate that just stays between them. She says it does not have anything to do with their professional life, but she also contends that what happens between them can just stay at work.
After sharing drinks at the Grand Phoenix and making some business plans, Victoria tells Nate that she is getting a hotel room. He can come up to her room if he wishes. If he chooses not to, she will also be okay with that choice. It is evident though that she really wants him in her room and in her bed. Nate has a difficult decision to make.
He brought this upon himself by coming out for drinks after Elena went to bed early. He knew that business with Victoria could have waited until the morning, but he put himself in this uncomfortable spot, grappling with a proposition.
