Woody Harrelson opened up on the negative impact of fame.
Woody Harrelson Reveals All On The Concept Of Fame-‘Things Are Getting F—ed Up’
The star acknowledged that he is currently struggling with the effects of being well-known, but even without fame, confronting one’s own ego can be a significant challenge.
Harrelson stated that he is currently in a better state than he was five years ago and that his three daughters, who he shares with his spouse Laura Louie, help him stay grounded. While that may have been the case, there is no denying that it could make people struggle with it on some occasions.
In his comments, he said: “It’s not a good thing. I don’t think fame is ever an evolving consciousness. It’s fine and dandy for people to tell you ‘you’re great.’ Nothing wrong with that. Moment you start believing it, that’s when things are getting f—ed up.”
That was not the only thing that he opened up on though. The actor shared that he is making efforts to progress in various aspects of his life, which involves decreasing his consumption of marijuana and alcohol.
Despite being a supporter of marijuana and owning a dispensary, named The Woods in West Hollywood, Harrelson admitted that he is addicted to the drug and aims to smoke it less frequently. Additionally, he revealed the reasons behind his decision to cut back on drinking.
His following comments confirmed as much: “Last year, like seven months out of the year, I didn’t drink. I do like to drink, but I realize too much is not good for anybody. It can make you more moody or aggro. I’m drinking now, but I’m much more moderate.”
The fans on social media began to troll the actor. This was on the basis that he was coming across as ungrateful for the position that he had managed to work himself towards. One person wrote: “I guess so, Woody, but it pays the bills.”
