On Monday, 20th February 2023, the singer followed this Australian tradition, much to the delight of those in attendance. In the picture here, we can see that Harry is pouring liquor into his shoe and subsequently downing the drink right in front of a cheering audience.
Australians refer to the act as a “shoey,” as the individual then continues wearing the soggy shoe for the remainder of the evening. Apparently, many celebrities, such as Machine Gun Kelly have taken part in the practice while visiting the country.
It is not clear if this was something that was planned or if he decided to do it in the spur of the moment. But one thing for sure is that his fans had a lot to say about the matter. One person wrote: “This guy is one of the dimmest in entertainment.
“At best, a tenth grade education. He really is dense, very dense,” while another person stated: “Nowhere near as disgusting as his body-defiling tattoos. Let’s see how Harry’s likes ’em when his hair falls out, he gains a beer belly and he’s no longer bankable.”
And once the dust had settled, Styles had a few words to say: “I feel like a different person. I feel ashamed of myself. It feels so personal. Such an intimate moment to be shared with so many people.”
Aside from that controversy, it has been a very good period for Styles when it comes to his music. His album “Harry’s House” was chosen for Album of the Year and also earned the award for Best Pop Vocal Album during the recent Grammy awards. That is why he will not be concerned too much with the critics.
