The Ring of Honor professional wrestler Jay Briscoe has passed away. Only 38 years old, he. Tony Khan, the owner of AEW and the man who bought the Ring of Honor campaign last March, posted the depressing information on social media saying, “Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. We’ll do whatever we can to support his family. Rest In Peace Jamin.”

In 2002, Jay, whose true name is Jamin “Jay” Pugh, joined ROH. He later teamed up with his brother Mark to form one of the best tag teams in pro wrestling history. Under the name “The Briscoe Brothers,” Jay and Mark competed as a tag team, but Jay also had success in the singles division, winning the Ring of Honor world championship twice. The veteran wrestler was reportedly involved in a car accident in Delaware, according to pro wrestling expert Dave Meltzer.
