It seems that this is the book that we’ve all been waiting for. Jinger Vuolo, formerly Jinger Duggar, sister of Josh Duggar, who also wrote Growing Up Duggar back in 2014, has now penned yet another book that will be released on January 31st of 2023 called “Becoming Free Indeed”.

In it, Vuolo discusses some tales from her childhood that she didn’t discuss in the first book, and she will also discuss some things to do with her faith, as well as having the conversation in the book that we’ve all been dying to hear – and that is about brother Josh Duggar.

This book will make some unfavorable comparisons of him to famous former IBLP leader Bill Gothard. Back in 2012, about 30 women came forward and posted allegations against Bill Gothard ona website called recovering Grace, then in 2014 about 10 women sued Gothard for allegations of sexual harassment, but the lawsuit was dismissed in 2018, however, the stink did result in him stepping down from being head of the organization.

Now it seems Jinger Vuolo has stepped away from the IBLP as an organization, but still claims to have her faith, according to an interview with Publisher’s Weekly. However, now she says that her faith aligns more with the actual teachings of the bible and of Jesus rather than any one man’s interpretation of the bible. “I was probably one of the most devout in my family.” She goes on to say about the IBLP, “I really loved those teachings and thought everybody needed to know it.” she tried to embody her faith with every move she made, from the clothing she wore to the music she listened to.

However, she says as she grew up she realized that the Faith that she was raised in was a fear-based religion with a vengeful God, and kept waiting on God to punish her for things that the bible literally said nothing about. “It made me feel superstitious.” she says.

She also says that Gothard promised financial success and familial bliss to the followers who a used to his strict regimen, but that a lot of the promises didn’t end up holding true for a lot of the followers. She saw the children were confused by Gothard’s interpretation of the bible and that a lot of times people could just not ever measure up to Gothard’s standard of perfection.

In her book, Vuolo will go on to compare Duggar to Gothard and how the revelations impacted her and her beliefs and made her more internally committed to her religious beliefs, and not just obsessed with the appearance of one. “I realize that some of what I had been taught was hurtful and untrue.

I knew I needed to speak publicly about this because I promoted teachings that I now believe are damaging.” one wonders just what teachings she will decry in the book, we can’t wait. “I feel like I’m in a much better place. I see God as amazing.” January 31st is the day the tea spills, folks. Stay tuned!!!
