Emily Blunt divulged that Tom Cruise, her co-star in the 2014 blockbuster Edge Of Tomorrow, admonished her to cease being so cowardly during filming.

The 39-year-old actress revealed that she was overcome with emotion on set because of the strenuous nature of wearing the cumbersome robotic costume, which caused her rib to be hurt from its shape.
When tears started rolling down her face due to the heaviness of the situation, the celebrity said her colleague didn’t know how to respond, so he simply said something rather discouraging.
Tom Cruise, who is acclaimed for his performances in Top Gun and Mission Impossible, is well-acquainted with action films and is famous for performing his own stunts. Emily, on the other hand, was making her debut in this genre with this action flick.
In her comments, Emily said: “He just stared at me for a long time, not knowing what to do, and he goes “come on, stop being such a p***y, OK?” The scene turned out okay since the actress was able to laugh it off and complete it.
The costume was no laughing matter though, as Emily was required to have a male stunt double to assist her due to its sizable weight. During the making of the movie, she was injured, suffering damage to her ribs and collarbone and even after eight years, the injuries are still a problem.
Despite the pain, the movie was a huge success, earning more than twice its production cost with a total of $370 million. The fans on social media praised Emily for the manner in which she acted.
And in the process of doing so, they praised the work ethic she had shown in ploughing on. After all, it could have been easy for her to become overwhelmed. One person wrote: “Good for Emily that she took Tom’s encouragement in the right spirit.
“After all if you are going to play a character who is the toughest of the tough then then best way to convincingly play that character is to put up with some pain and discomfort during the filming.”
