TLC ‘Welcome To Plathville’ Spoilers: Is denial more than a river in Egypt for Lydia Plath?

Lydia Plath posted on her IG page saying that she hopes that some things never change, like her love of the outdoors and fun in the kitchen (Lydia was surrounded by homemade food in the video, we can only assume this was from Thanksgiving) she went onto say that the source of her joy, implying her faith, would be the one thing that would never change.

It’s a surprisingly positive post after the scrutiny her family has been under for Kim Plath’s DUI back during the summer. Kim’s own social media is practically non-existent these days, in spite of back during season one how she claimed to be a “naturopath” but we’re not sure what happened to that practice.

Is denial more than a river in Egypt for Lydia Plath

Either way, Lydia has kept her own IG pretty light and breezy, carefully curated and very fundie light Christian influencer. She hasn’t really addressed anything that’s been going on in the news, and hasn’t gotten too personal, unlike Moriah and Olivia‘s posts on their social media where they feel comfortable saying things that we may not hear about on the program at all.

Lydia posts content that would be safe for anyone to consume, from very young girls to old grandmas. But one wonders if that is simply a cover for how she really feels and if she’s using positivity to cover up how she really feels about situations.

Maybe this is all genuine, maybe Lydia is just a genuinely happy person and just doesn’t post about the things in her life that make her sad. After all, there does seem to be an emphasis on happiness in their faith.

Some people who have grown up in fundamentalist faiths say that the religions look down upon emotional upheaval as having a “rebellious spirit” and you wonder if that has anything to do with her almost Stepford level of perfection over on IG. Her IG comments seem to reaffirm her faith and tell her that she can’t go wrong as long as she sticks with God, okay, fair.

One comment in my particular asked about the boy she is is dating and said that they follow the show but clearly are not caught up through season four or they would know that Lydia isn’t dating anyone. Unless there’s and earthly component to her joyfulness that she hasn’t disclosed yet. Stay tuned!!!
