Pele, the Brazilian footballer, has been hospitalised due to excessive swelling and heart failure.
Brazilian Footballing Legend Pele Rushed To Hospital With Heart Failure-Condition Described ‘Debilitated’
According to ESPN Brasil, Pele, who is being treated for metastatic cancer, visited the Albert Einstein hospital in Sao Paulo on Tuesday, 29th November 2022. As of now, his condition has been described as ‘debilitated.’
Medical personnel diagnosed a ‘decompensated heart failure,’ after his wife Marcia Aoki and a carer took him to the hospital. His chemotherapy treatment is said to have stopped working. He became agitated upon entering the hospital and was found to be mentally confused.
Pele is undergoing several examinations to determine if his metastatic cancer has affected any of his organs. He is also reportedly having difficulty eating. However, Kely Nascimento, Pele’s daughter, said there was no cause for concern.
In her comments, she said: “Lots of alarm in the media today concerning my dad’s health. He is in the hospital regulating medication. There is no emergency or new dire prediction. I will be there for New Year’s and promise to post some pictures.” This is not the first time that something like this has happened.
According to Globo News, Pele was hospitalized for six days and had a colon tumor removed last year. Despite a huge amount of worry at the time, Pele let everyone know in no uncertain terms that things were going to be fine which is why people have remained optimistic this time around.
In some prior comments, he remarked: “I thank God for feeling very well and for allowing Dr Fabio and Dr Miguel to take care of my health.” The fans on social media came out in droves in order to make sure that Pele was fine. And in the process of doing so, they sent him some very warm words.
