Selma Blair opened up on her exit from ‘Dancing With the Stars’ due to health issues with a heartfelt message.

The actress starred on the show with her professional dance partner, Sasha Farber, but it all came to an end following their last performance together to Andra Day’s song “What The World Needs Now Is Love.”
The routine was based on how Selma had been feeling during her 2018 diagnosis with Multiple Sclerosis. Multiple Sclerosis is a condition that has the impact of affecting the brain and nerves which results in many symptoms, such as tiredness and vision problems.
That no longer made it possible for her to continue in the competition, as the results of some scans dictated that her health could deteriorate if she did. In her comments, she said: “I had MRIs and the results came back, and it all adds up to, I can’t go on with the competition.
“I’ve pushed as far as I could, With a chronic illness, you do have special considerations, and my body has taken a hit.” Despite that being the case, Selma had no regrets about her time on the show.
She managed to show the world that she was able to overcome her problems and show off some impressive dancing skills in the process. And her journey will inspire others to take similar risks, irrespective of the barriers that they may be facing. Not only that, but Sasha was also left feeling emotional by Blair.
He admitted that he could not have been prouder of her, as she did defy all expectations. His following comments confirmed as much: “There aren’t enough words to say how proud I am. She is a true inspiration.
“She has not only inspired myself, but so many people around the world … there’s nothing this lady can’t do.” Selma may have left the show, but she did forge many memories in the process.
