Opera singer Andrea Bocelli has reportedly sued an airline charter after their planes caused him anxiety.
Opera Singer Andrea Bocelli Reportedly Sues Airline Carrier After Their Jet Caused Him ‘Anxiety’
According to reports, Bocelli has taken action on the basis that he was provided with a noisy airplane during his tour in the United States last year. And as part of that process, Private Jet Services of Seabrook have been targeted.
It is alleged that the company violated its terms when the crew had apparently informed people that there would be turbulence on board. On the surface, this may not seem like a major ordeal. However, based on the fact that Bocelli does have anxiety when it comes to flying, this was a very crucial point.
It is claimed that the singer does suffer from impaired vision, which means that a far from satisfactory plane experience through extreme noise would heighten his anxiety. As a result of this, Bocelli is demanding a whopping $569,800 in damages.
This would cover the cost of the refund for the flight, as well as the lawyer fees and alternative arrangements. The terms of the lawsuit also suggest that Bocelli would be provided with a jet that was not older than 4 years.
And given that the company had apparently provided a 1996 Falcon 2000 jet, as well as making announcements about the turbulence on board, this put his safety at risk “during the last 20 minutes of the flight.”
The following comments confirmed as much: “He is also not a very keen flyer, as he has fear of flying and can feel anxiety related to safety issues during air travel.” The only thing left to do is let the authorities investigate the matter and come to a reasonable conclusion.
Time will tell how this all plays out going forward. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
