The actor is slowly attempting to rehabilitate himself back into the public fold following his slapgate incident at the 2022 Oscars. During the course of that process, Will slapped comedian Chris Rock over his joke about his wife’s hair. And in the aftermath of that, it appears that he and Jada are looking to get closer.
In the video here, we can see that Jada has a massive cake with some candles on. She is joined by her loved ones, including Will, as they all look happier than ever. The post was captioned by the following comments: “I’m so grateful for all the birthday love yesterday. Thank you.”
Jade will be looking to return the favour, as Will is also celebrating his birthday this month. The actor will turn 54 on Sunday, 25th September 2022. With that being said, there are plenty of things for the Smith family to enjoy. After all, it has not been so smooth sailing in the public eye.
Despite Will having apologised publicly to Chris, the comedian has allegedly not reached out to him. While this is understandable since Chris will be looking to put it behind him as soon as possible, the same can be said of Will.
In his comments at the time, Will remarked: “I made a choice on my own from my own experiences, from my history with Chris. I want to say sorry to my kids and my family for the heat that I’ve brought on all of us.”
The fans on social media had nothing but happiness for the pair. And in the process of doing so, they wished the couple nothing but the best. One person wrote: “Abundant Blessings!”
