‘Dancing With the Stars’ professional Cheryl Burke has revealed she is in no rush to divorce her estranged husband Matthew Lawrence.

The couple had gotten married in 2019 after having been romantically connected to each other over a decade. But after having been married for around 2 years, Cheryl decided to file for divorce.
This was on the basis that there were differences that could no longer be reconciled for the better. The date for the filing was alleged to have been on January 7th 2022, and yet, it has still not been finalised.
This may have been due to the following reasons. First of all, the divorce could be complicated if there are a lot of assets involved. Therefore, it would make sense for each person to take their time and make the appropriate decisions.
Secondly, there is always the suggestion that either side could be having doubts about going ahead with it. And yet, Cheryl simply admitted that she did not want to rush things as she was not in a hurry to be dating anybody else.
In an interview with US Weekly, she said: “As far as the divorce goes, you know, it’s slowly getting there. There’s no rush. It’s not like I’ve got someone else to marry tomorrow, nor do I want that. I’m not even dating anybody at the moment.”
Nevertheless, the fans on social media were not convinced by her comments. A certain subset of people did not understand why Cheryl would not finalize things as soon as possible, so that she would be able to move on with her life.
After all, she has already made it clear that she is not interested in him. One person wrote: “Another crazy woman.” As long as Cheryl and Matthew work things out, then who are we to question otherwise.
