Britney Spears has reacted to her son Jayden’s recent criticism of her.

Jayden, for his part, had recently claimed that he felt his mother did not love the children equally. Not only that, but he also called out her social media behaviour on the basis that it was being done for attention.
This was accompanied by an admission that he and her other son Preston would not be spending time with their mother until she got better. While that may have been the case, Britney sees an ulterior motive at play. And as part of her obligations to her ex Kevin Federline, it is alleged that she had been paying him $40,000 a month.
But as that is reportedly coming to an end in a couple of years, Britney hinted that this may be the reason as to why there is such hostility from her kids and Kevin. In a post to her fans on Instagram, she said: “Do you guys want me to get better so I can continue to give your dad $40,000 a month?
“Or is the reasoning behind you guys deciding to be hateful is because it’s actually over in two years and you don’t get anything?” The fans on social media had a lot to say about the matter.
A certain subset of people resonated with Britney’s comments by stating that the changing approach was due to the financial support ending. Meanwhile, others felt Britney had nobody to blame but herself for the poor relations.
One person wrote: “Best part was her telling them they get nothing when they turn 18. Teenage boys trying to call the shots smh,” while another person stated: “Yes. He needs to get it from you. Shut down your social media and go be a mom.”
