Disgraced Actor Armie Hammer Back In Los Angeles
The actor’s return to the United States was a long time coming after having been on the Cayman Islands following his notorious cannibal saga in which he was accused of sending DMs related to cannibalism.
But those plans of keeping a low profile were scuppered after reports that Armie was working as a salesman on the island. As such, his return to the US could have been a way to get away from the negative media scrutiny that he was getting on the Cayman Islands.
In the pictures here, we can see Armie hanging out at the Great White restaurant in Venice, Calif. He has a beer in his hand and has grabbed some lunch with a friend. Clearly, it has been a very difficult period for the actor.
His father has reportedly cut him off from the family fortune, as Armie is the great-grandson of oil billionaire Armand Hammer, stating the star had to find his own way in the world. A source confirmed the following: “His dad won’t help him anymore, and he’s been cut off, so he got to work.”
But one person who has managed to be there for Armie has been none other than actor Robert Downey Jr. The latter is well aware of the struggles that can emerge with rehab which is why he had reportedly paid for Armie’s time in a rehab institution in Florida.
In addition, it is claimed that Robert had also allowed Armie, the mother of kids Elizabeth Chambers and their children to stay at his house for a period of time. While Armie may have some support, it is clear that he will have to stand on his own two feet.
