The duo, for their part, had been dating for around 2 years before they decided to call it quits. During the course of that process, there was pressure emerging over whether or not they were going to take their relationship to the next level.
Kendall had admitted that her mother, Kris Jenner, was hinting at the prospect of her daughter having children. And yet, reports indicated that the duo were no longer seeing things on the same page, which is why they decided to walk away.
With that being said, their career is at the top of their list of priorities. A source confirmed as much: “While they care for each other, Devin was not going to propose marriage and his priority is his career. Kendall’s career also dominates her life.”
This was not a surprise when we look at what happened prior to the break up. The duo had attended Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s wedding. And if anything was going to make them reconsider their plans going forward, then it would have been just that.
After all, Kourtney did not hide her happiness in being able to tie the knot with Travis. And naturally, thereafter, Kendall and Devin had showdown talks which failed to muster up a solution.
The source stated: “After two years they had the ‘where is this going’ talk. And since they were not moving forward, it was time to take a break, probably permanently.”
It is too early to rule out the possibility of a reconciliation, since the split is still very fresh in the memory. But what we have seen in the Kardashian family is an attempt to give things another go.
