John Ramsay, father of JonBenet Ramsey, wants to expand a DNA search on his daughter’s killer. After 25 years there has been no one named as a suspect in his daughter’s killing in spite of the entire family being cleared of any wrongdoing by DNA in 2008.
So now John Ramsay wants to use the same sort of familial DNA search that managed to nail the golden state killer in order to nab his daughter’s killer. He has set up a petition at change.org/justiceforjbr to get signature for the governor of Colorado to see so that he will give the okay for the DNA sample that was found on JonBenet’s clothes (there was one and it was said to be an unrelated male) to be sent out to an independent lab who has the technology in order to do it.

The Colorado police do not seem to have the DNA technology that allows them to test for familial DNA, and it’s about time that this little girl received justice. After 25 years and so much speculation and fear surrounding her death, the family needs closure.
Sadly, her Mother, Patsy, who received the brunt of the accusations, died in 2006 from ovarian cancer which returned not long after the death of JonBenet, so it comes as kind of a cold comfort to the man whose partner and wife has been gone for this long.
However, it might give him greater comfort to clear his son, Burke, of any wrongdoing. Burke Ramsey was 9 years old at the time of JonBenet’s death and lots of people have speculated about where he was and what he was doing on the night of the murder
In spite of him having been cleared by DNA evidence, apparently his mannerisms in a Dr. Phil interview made the court of public opinion convict him. While we have to admit it’s taken awhile for John Ramsey to come around to this way of thinking, if his son truly was guilty then he probably wouldn’t be pursuing this course of action in order to get the murder solved all these years later.
There has been a lot of speculation saying that both parents knew it was Burke but if that truly is the case then why is the Dad still fighting all these years later? We at DSD do truly hope they find closure. Stay tuned!!!
