The Mom who faked her own kidnapping back in 2016 Sherri Papini is in the headlines again, but this time for an entirely different reason. It seems that her husband, the same husband who tearfully pleaded for her return on national TV, has filed for divorce and not only filed for sole custody of the two children that they share together, but also has filed for sole propietorship of the house that they currently rent from his Mom.
Smart move on his part, because all in all it looks like Sherri Papini will end up owing $300K to the state of California once all is said and done and this kind of thing would free him from any financial responsibility.
Sherri Papini’s husband files for divorce
He says that he is filing for sole custody of the children to protect them from their Mom’s notoriety. Considering the things that have been said about Pappini, one kind of wonders what kind of Mom she actually is. Her own family would vouch for her but her own family has also been lied about by her so one wonders if that is simply a case of stockholm syndrome on their part.
After all, she lied about them abusing her when she was a teenager and they seem to have gone back to the narrative of a loving family so that could be an unfortunate dynamic that they’re used to and expect out of Papini.
Now it seems the same man who stood by her and tearfully begged for her return is now wanting nothing more than to move on with his and his children’s lives without her in it. Currently, it’s unclear if he played any role in the disappearance or helped cover up anything, but since he’s filing for divorce its’ clear to see that there’s trouble in paradise and he, at the very least, probably feels betrayed by the entire thing. Who wouldn’t?
After all, she faked her own kidnapping to go spend time with an ex-boyfriend. Allegedly, she was ‘happily married’ with two kids at the time, including one that had just been born, but that wasn’t enough for her. We’ll keep an eye on this case. Stay tuned!!!
