Kim Kardashian has opened up on her earlier struggles prior to becoming one of the biggest reality TV stars and fashion icons.

Things were not always this way. Prior to her marriage to Kanye West, Kim did struggle to make an impact in the fashion world. This all changed when the pair decided to get married, after which Kanye used his contacts in order to show Kim what was possible.
And after having attended Paris Fashion Week with the rapper, Kim got her first major fashion shoot as she appeared on Vogue. In an interview with ABC, she said: “I say all the time, ‘Oh my God, I didn’t even think Vogue was in my vocabulary.
“I never thought that would ever happen for me. And so I just want to motivate people. Not the opposite.” That success ultimately led Kim to launching her ‘Skims’ brand with the help of Kanye. As of now, the company is reported to be worth over $3 billion with no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Although Kim has put in the work, there is no denying that Kanye’s influence did propel the company to a whole new level. And it is no surprise, then, that Kim has been proud of what she has managed to achieve.
She added: “I would want to borrow clothes and have clothes lent from fashion houses, everyone would say no because they said it would never fit me because I’m just too curvy and it would never fit. And I think that’s why I was so inspired to start SKIMS.”
The fans on social media were in full agreement. They recognised that without Kanye being there, Kim would not have been able to become a household name as she has managed to do now. One person wrote: “Give credit where’s due.”
