‘Days if Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find that fans may have to wait a while for their favorite soap to return after its Winter Olympics hiatus, but they will be rewarded on the other side. Wil-Son are baaaaack!
That’s right, fan favorite couple Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (now played by Zach Tinker) are making their way back to Salem, presumably with Will’s daughter Arianna Horton-Hernandez (last played by Sydney Brower) in tow.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Wil-Son Set to Return, Trouble to Follow
However, fans of the long running sudser know that a pleasant surprise like this will always be followed by the other shoe dropping, and that heel goes by the name of Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart).
Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) made the Wil-Son (and Stark) return announcement on a YouTube promo for the soap. While previews showed Will and Sonny, along with Chad figuring out how to deal with their unwanted shadow, fans are already speculating over why Leo is coming back to town.
Sure, he’s always carried a torch for Sonny, and he has interacted with Wil-Son and Chad recently on Beyond Salem (but do we really have to talk about those farcical scenes?). Fan theories, however, have Leo returning to town for a different man.
Could Leo be the mystery lover of Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas)?
It sure will make things a lot more uncomfortable when Chloe brings Brady to meet her father’s new boo. If Leo is with Craig, it will certainly open up the storyline to a whole lot of other questions- like if Leo is for real or if he is just playing Craig.
Maybe Leo is going ‘legit’. Could Craig be the “weakness” Wilson want to exploit as spoken about with Chad in the YouTube preview?
Only time will tell.
What do you think of a possible Craig/Leo match up, or are you still mourning the Craig/Nancy (Patrika Darbo) relationship?
Let us know your thoughts below and watch ‘Days of Our Lives’ when it returns on NBC, February 21.
