Billie Eilish was performing in Georgia this past weekend when she brought her concert to a halt after noticing an audience member in distress.
The State Farm Arena in Atlanta was packed, including the pit. When Billie noticed one particular fan getting crushed, she shut everything down.
Apparently, the concertgoer was having trouble breathing. Not only did the 20-year-old Bad Guy singer ensure the surging crowd pulled back, she also instructed one of her stage crew to give the woman in distress an inhaler.
Billie Eilish Stops Concert to Give Audience Member Medical Aid, Sends Shade Travis Scott’s Way
With lights up in the stadium, the fan received medical treatment. Meanwhile, Billie continued to call for calm in the crowd and asked for reassurance several times from the fan that she was okay before Billie resumed performing.
Before the music began again, Billie took a shot at Travis Scott, saying, “I wait for people to be okay before I keep going.”
This received a rousing cheer from the crowd, who all understood that Billie was referring to the mass casualty event that occurred at Astro World in November. Travis, whose son with Kylie Jenner was born this past week, claims to have not known there were many audience members in distress at the huge concert, his set continuing and special guest Drake appearing, even though people were screaming for help. 10 people lost their lives at the event.
Billie’s shade was extra spicy due to the fact that she is replacing Travis at Coachella this year. An official announcement has not been made, but it is widely known that Travis was dumped by the Coachella producers after the horror Astro World tragedy last year and Billie will be one of the headliners now in his place.
Shade aside, its good to see Billie is being responsible and a role model for other performers. The concertgoer who required the medical attention is said to be a-okay.
