Billie Eilish Recalls Her Time At The Met Gala-‘It’s So Weird’
The event is designed to showcase celebrities that come together, while dressing themselves in outlandish clothing to show off some of the biggest names within the entertainment industry.
Much in the same way, Billie made sure that she made some headlines with her clothing. In the picture here, we can see that Billie is wearing a peach coloured dress.
It is clear that it is very much like a wedding dress, with a long stretched out gown at the bottom. Although her fashion statement was a hit, the singer saw the ceremony as nothing other than special.
In an interview on the ‘Howard Stern show,’ she said: “It’s famous people famous people-ing. That’s what it is. You know what, the main thing that night made me think or feel was how famous people are just literally nobodies.
“Just randos, and it’s so weird.” Playing down such an event may not comes across well, given that there is no guarantee that she could attend again, but if her following comments are anything to go by, then it is clear that Billie was not impressed.
She went on to compare the event, as something akin to a school prom. And given that proms often involve a lot of embarrassment with people not always knowing who to dance with or what to do, she felt quite uncomfortable.
She added: “I was like, ‘Wow, all these people are just somebody that’s in class with you,’ and you think this person’s kinda annoying.
“You really like this person, you get along with this person, and everybody’s just, like, embarrassed and insecure.”
Nevertheless, Billie walked away with more positives than negatives. With that in mind, she is looking forward to going again if the opportunity were to arise.
After all, she now knows what to expect. Her following comments confirmed as much: “It was just beautiful in there.” It is safe to say that Billie’s name may not be on the top of the list when it comes to inviting future attendees.
