This past week, we learned that Geoffrey Paschel, a former cast member of 90 Day Fiancé, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for domestic violence charges. His wife, Varya Malina was very upset about the verdict and she immediately took to Instagram to show her feelings. After she posted about the verdict, she got quite a bit of backlash and now she is ready to reply to those followers who called her out for loving Paschel.

After she posted about Geoffrey’s verdict and how she was feeling about it, she got a boatload of backlash from all of her followers. She decided to write a very lengthy post to those haters. She wrote, “Right now, I’m very short in my messages and I don’t answer any calls- only from the family members. Please don’t misunderstand my current actions. I don’t ignore or underestimate you for goodness’ sake. It just takes so much energy and time to respond to the same questions over and over again. I feel emotionally exhausted.”

Varya went on to say, “I want to focus on my own mental health and on numerous people who are affected by the same situation. My counselor takes very good care of me. No worries. The Varya you know keeps more love in her heart than hate and I try to catch up with her on that. Strong women never give up. We might need a coffee. We might need a good cry. We might need a day in bed. But we always come back stronger.”
The post that she made about the verdict was actually her with a birthday cake. The video was a message to Geoffrey’s late son, Kazhem. He would have been five years old and she wanted to share the message in his honor. That post read, “Sweet baby boy, Kazhem would have celebrated his 5th birthday today. Thank you Jersey Kristina for this wonderful cake, he and his dad would absolutely love it. Unfortunately, neither of them got to taste it.”
No matter what has happened, Varya has stood by Geoffrey through it all. She moved from Florida to Tennessee to take care of his pets and his home while he is in prison. There has been no word yet if he will ever qualify for early release, but she is still there for him.
