A Virginia man has been arrested after drunkenly crashing his car into Taylor Swift’s Tribeca apartment building, specifically targeting the star.
In the wee hours of Thursday, January 27, Morgan Mank drove drunk and slammed into the front of T.Swift’s building and a fire hydrant. He then rambled to police in his inebriated state about not leaving the scene until he got to meet the Shake It Off chartreuse. The officials did not oblige his request.
It was soon discovered Mank had been tweeting the star throughout the day on Tuesday.

“If I could make one suggestion, you should get your s—t together because you are in fact, insane,” he wrote, before adding a second tweet that read, “Wish you all the best. Cya @taylorswift13.”
Mank also sided with Damon Albarn, front man of the rock band Blur and virtual band Gorillaz who made claim that Taylor doesn’t write her own music. Though Albarn later apologized for saying so in an interview, Mank had written on Tuesday, “I mean he’s not entirely wrong here. I mean come on now let’s get real.”
Mank has now been charged after allegedly driving the wrong way down Franklin St. in lower Manhattan while intoxicated. He then reportedly reversed and slammed into the apartment building.
After crashing, Mank jumped from his vehicle and made it to the front door of the building, trying to gain entry. He had ripped the intercom panel from the door before police took him into custody at a nearby hospital. There, the 31 year old underwent drug and alcohol testing and a psychiatric evaluation.
This is by far the first time crazed fans have tried to gain access to Swift- at both her Tibeca apartment and her Rhode Island mansion. It is unknown if Tay Tay was home during this latest crazed fan attempt to gain access to the singer.
