It looks like Julia Fox is the kind of woman who knows what she wants and gets what she wants, too. There’s a new report that says the Hollywood actress might or might not have hooked up with Drake right before she began her whirlwind romance with Kanye West.
As many fans know by now, Kanye is no fan of Drake, as the two have long been nemesis for quite some time now. Here’s what you need to know.
Did Julia Fox Hook Up With Drake Before Getting With Kanye West?
According to Page Six, it was Drake who first reached out to Julia to compliment her on her role in the 2019 film “Uncut Gems.” Soon after Julia’s relationship with her longtime partner Peter Artemiev fell apart, she got back in touch with Drake on Instagram. They reportedly met up in New York in February 2020 for a date at the Bowery for drinks.
If that weren’t enough, Drake then showed up to Bloomingdale’s — where Fox was doing a promotional gig — the next day to visit her at work. “They closed down the store so he could visit,” said a source.
Drake then gave her two Birkin bags for Valentine’s Day and Julia soon after went to Toronto to visit him. However, the COVID pandemic forced them to push back their plans for a relationship.
“They were closing the border [between Canada and the US], and she had to get back home,” said a source close to the situation.
In her latest podcast, Forbidden Fruit, with Niki Takesh, Julia says that she’s not someone who is looking for attention and that she couldn’t care less of what people think about her romance with Kanye West. The couple have been dating since the beginning of the month.
“It’s funny cause I’m getting all of this attention, but I really couldn’t care,” said Fox presumably referencing her headline-stealing relationship with Kanye. “People are like, ‘Oh, you’re only in it for the fame, you’re in it for the clout, you’re in it for the money.’ Honey, I’ve dated billionaires my entire adult life, let’s keep it real.”
If that weren’t enough, she also made it pretty clear that all she cares about is making art and “putting things into the world.” “That is more thrilling to me now than eyes on me,” Fox added. “I couldn’t care less.”
