Queen Latifah Gives Her Take On Chris Noth’s Sexual Assault Allegations-‘My Feeling Is Justice Has To Prevail’
The actor has had a turbulent time of late after a reported four women had come forward to accuse him of sexual assault. Although he denied doing anything of the sort, the very fact of the matter is that he has suffered some consequences already.
He has been removed from the ‘Sex and the City’ spin-off entitled ‘And Just Like That,’ after initial reports suggested that he may make an appearance in the finale. Not only that, but Chris was also dropped from the hit CBS TV show ‘The Equalizer.’
And given that Queen Latifah had starred with Chris on this show, it is not surprising to hear that she has something to say about it.
During an interview with People magazine, Queen Latifah said: “It’s still surreal. It is such a dicey, delicate situation that requires a great deal of respect.
“We are figuring out what we want to do creatively on the show and how we’re going to deal with that character.”
It is understandable that Queen Latifah has remained coy on the situation by virtue of the fact that it is too early to comment. An investigation will be needed in order to determine whether or not Chris has something to answer for.
And given that she had struck up a friendship with the actor during their time on set, it has been hard for her to remain neutral in that regard. However, what has kept her preoccupied in that regard has been the direction of the show without Chris.
She added: “Chris’s character’s obviously a big part of the show and it was amazing chemistry, amazing chemistry.
“And my feeling is justice has to prevail regardless. I just want the right things to be done, you know?” The only thing left to do is hope that the investigation can put this to bed once and for all.
