Jensen Ackles has opened up on his unpleasant experience that he had with Jessica Alba during their time on ‘Dark Angel.’
Jensen Ackles Admits He Hated Working With Jessica Alba-‘We Bickered’
Jensen, for his part, has managed to break out from TV roles by entering into Hollywood films. This was recently demonstrated by his appearance on what would have been the movie ‘Rust,’ prior to the Alec Baldwin prop gun incident which is now threatening the future of that movie into doubt.
While he was progressing in his career, the very fact of the matter is that not everything was smooth sailing. During an interview on the ‘Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum’ podcast, Jensen said: “I was the new kid on the block.
“[It was] the worst kind of bickering a brother and sister could do…She just was like, ‘Oh, here’s the pretty boy that network brought in for some more window dressing because that’s what we all need.’”
Rather than sit down and take it, Jensen decided to respond in kind. Clearly, that did not contribute to the best working environment. However, what he did manage to demonstrate was that Jessica knew Jensen was being serious.
And that ultimately would go on to generate a mutual understanding between them, with both sides knowing that nobody was going to be a walkover.
He added: “But we bickered. We bickered like brother and sister. I love Jess, which I know kind of contradicts what I just said. She was under an immense amount of pressure on that show.”
In Jessica’s defense, however, it is important to remember that she was very young at the time. In addition, her personal life was not in the best place which only went on to compound her acting performances.
That is why Jensen is not taking things to heart. His following comments confirmed as much: “She was in a relationship and that was … causing some undue stress, I believe.”
As long as Jensen and Jessica have managed to put it behind them, then who knows they may end up working together once again. With that in mind, it will be fascinating to see if Jessica responds to this.
