Rachel Zegler has publicly apologised for getting involved in the spat between Britney Spears and her sister Jamie Lynn Spears.

The two sisters have recently been engaged in a back-and-forth across social media over their respective role in destroying any relationship between the siblings.
Britney, for part, has accused Jamie of using her memoir entitled ‘Things I Should Have Said’ as a way to garner publicity for herself.
Meanwhile, Jamie has denied those accusations by stating that this is an opportunity for her to get her own side of the story across.
But Rachel decided to get herself involved, when she posted a video of herself reading the two sisters’ social media posts in a parody which has now been removed.
Naturally, this resulted in a lot of criticism from her fan base who felt that she had no reason to get involved in such a thing, especially in light of what Britney has been through with regards to her treatment on social media.
In a post to her fans on Twitter, Rachel expressed deep regret over her actions. She said: “Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Britney and am rooting for her always.
“While I meant no disrespect whatsoever, I should have thought about how this could be perceived, and I’m so sorry for upsetting or disappointing anyone.”
Rather than apologising towards both of them, it is clear that Rachel was siding with Britney over her sister. That is why a certain subset of people did not accept her apology and found that it was not genuine.
After all, in the process of her video, she had also attacked Jamie as well as Britney. But by favouring one over the other, there was an implication that she stood by her comments with regards to Jamie.
One person on Twitter wrote: “Her apology is typical non-apology, like I am sorry, if someone is offended. When someone apologized from their heart, they don’t say “sorry you perceived me wrong.”
