She added, “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that. I’m with cops now on the way to the hospital. I’m sorry I upset everyone. I am lost without my kid and I hate myself. Hospital will help a while. But I’m going to find Shane. This is just a delay.” Her fans are still very concerned about her and what she is talking about in these tweets.
The news of her son, Shane’s death, came on January 7. He was only 17 years old and he had gone missing and then he was found dead. When she posted about his death, O’Connor wrote, “My beautiful son, the very light of my life, decided to end his earthly struggle today and is now wth God. May he rest in peace and may no one follow his example. My baby. I love you so much. Please be at peace.” Shane was her son with musician, Donal Lunny and she is a mother to three other children as well.
O’Connor has had some struggles with her mental health before and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, PTSD, and borderline personality disorder. Her family and fans have seen many “cries for help” from her social media accounts and many worry about the thoughts that she has when she is at her lowest.
