In a move that many has seen coming for months, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene‘s personal Twitter account has been suspended from the website. As we all know, Greene is not a fan of mask or vax mandates and has a tendency to shoot off at the mouth when it comes to spreading misinformation about COVID.
She has done this four other times previously but the fifth time proved to be the charm for the social media platform and that account got suspended permanently. If you thought she was quite through however, you’re wrong because she instead took to releasing statements through her office, one of which said this:

“Twitter is an enemy to America and can’t handle the truth. That’s fine. I’ll show America that we don’t need them and it’s time to defeat our enemies.” Apparently, Rep.
Greene is under the impression that America needs Twitter, or that it’s a symbiotic relationship or something. It truly isn’t, ask the millions of Twitter users worldwide. We’re not the only country that uses it. Either way, what did Greene posted that finally got her kicked off the platform?
She says for posting statistics from the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System. This operates under the watchful eye of the department of human services and the agency itself says that it is not designed to determine whether or not a Vaccine causes a health problem. That would be the correct information.
Apparently for Twitter if a user has more than 5 strikes on their account for spreading COVID misinformation your account will be permanently locked, and it looks like Greene has been really knocking herself out since last year trying to get banned.
Back in March of 2021 is when they implemented the strike system, and Greene’s account has been suspended multiple times since then, it seems she was really dedicated to the cause. Finally, Twitter said “Enough!” and pulled the plug.
Twitter’s not messing around when it comes to misinformation about COVID, and good thing, because this is people’s lives. Now if only we could convince Greene of that. Stay tuned!!!
