Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who is currently taking legal action against Prince Andrew on the grounds of sexual assault, has welcome the guilty verdict of Ghislaine Maxwell.

Ghislaine, for her part, was deemed to have played a part in the wider Jeffrey Epstein scandal, the latter was involved in sex trafficking before his suicide.
And given that Epstein is no longer here, Virginia was overjoyed at the fact that his associates were held to account. In a post to her followers on Twitter, Virginia said: “My soul yearned for justice for years and today the jury gave me just that.
“I will remember this day always. Having lived with the horrors of Maxwell’s abuse, my heart goes out to the many other girls and young women who suffered at her hands and whose lives she destroyed.”
Virginia has made her position known, but it is important to remember that there is still an appeal process that is going to occur. As such, there is still a prospect that the verdict could be overturned, however unlikely that is.
With that in mind, it is important to ensure that anybody else who was involved in this scandal is also held to account.
It is not enough to simply say that Ghislaine was responsible, given that Epstein was running such a sophisticated operation in recruiting underage girls who were then given to powerful people to abuse.
Virginia added: “I hope that today is not the end but rather another step in justice being served. Maxwell did not act alone. Others must be held accountable. I have faith that they will be.”
Much in the same way, the response on social media was fully in favour of Virginia. Large numbers of people welcomed her comments, as it was only right that justice was served in light of everything that she and the other victims had been through.
One person on Twitter wrote: “God bless you Virginia for standing up & taking action! Your kids have an AMAZING MUMMY!! We need to nail Andrew now!”
